Interactieve lezing: Zen en Geluk, Emmasingel 22, 5611 AZ, Eindhoven
The Dalai Lama has said that the goal of human life is to be happy. Philosophers such as Aristotle, Augustine and Pascal have said the same. If you ask people on the street, everyone wants to be happy.
But what's happiness? What do we understand below, and is it indeed the highest good? Is happiness something to pursue, or does it matter?
Zenleraar Lilian van der Vaart (1957) discusses these questions with you and talks about the paradoxical zen perspective on happiness. Zen carries in China and has gained a strong boost in a time of great difficulty. What can this age-old experience contribute to the development of happiness in our time?
This lecture is in the context of the Lucky Path.
