The inhabitants of the Klankenbos are contemporary works of musical art that stimulate not only your sense of hearing, but also your sense of sight. The sound installations are captivating works of art that are very intriguing to both listen to and look at.


The Klankenbos (literally: sound forest) is accessible free of charge, any time of day.


There is also the XS trail especially for children. And for groups of children there are also supervised activities such as the Musical Treasure Trip or the 'Van Takje to Bos' concert (please book in advance).

The Klankenbos provides a special outdoor (sound) art experience and takes you along a hiking trail in the Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof in Neerpelt.

The forest's collection consists of thirteen sound artworks in the open air and three mobile sound installations. The size and permanent accessibility of the collection is unique in Europe.

Everyone is welcome to freely explore the Klankenbos to their heart's desire. And by downloading (for free) the Klankenbos catalogue you can get even more out of your walk.

A hiking trail through Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof in Neerpelt offers passers-by a special outdoor sound experience. Everyone is welcome to explore the Klankenbos on their own – for free, and at any time of the day. A map with more information about the installations is available at the different entrances of the forest. And especially for children there is a XS trail. The Klankenbos is mostly wheelchair-accessible.
